Journey: I came to the United States in November 2022.

Biggest surprise when arriving in the USA: Well, one thing that really surprised me when I arrived in the US was the diversity of cultures and lifestyles. It was fascinating to see people from all over the world living and interacting together in such a dynamic way.

Experience using skills learned at LVSC: In my current role as a teacher's aide in a preschool, I've been able to apply the conversation skills I learned in conversation group to increase communication with the children. This has helped me better handle what they ask for and give them what they need.

Favorite food: My favorite food is Beyti - a type of Turkish traditional meat dish.

Hobbies:  I enjoy cooking, designing jewelry, and spending time with my students, teaching them new things.

Favorite movie: I like romantic and adventure movies and my favorite movie is Titanic.

R&R spot: Being outside near a stream with birds singing makes me feel calm and relaxed.
