Student Spotlights

Journey: I came to the United States in February, 2015. I was born in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Biggest surprise when arriving in the USA: It was snowing, when I arrived to U.S.A. It was wonderful and beautiful.

Experience using skills that you learned with your LVSC tutor: I was able to communicate with my surgeon doctor and I felt very good.

Marjorie introduced her tutor Diana, as LVSC's 2024 Tutor of the Year.

Favorite food: My favorite food is sushi and seafood, I love it.

Hobbies: Watch TV (movies), make diamont painting, and to cook.

Favorite movie: I love romantic movies and Christmas movies, but I my favorites are Cinderella and Ghost Christmas.

R&R spot: I like to walk on the sand, seeing the sea. Walk through the mountains, to see the rivers.  I love nature, to listen the birds sing.
