Spotlight on Mary
Volunteering with LVSC is a long-standing tradition in Mary's family.
LVSC Journey: My mother, a former English teacher and literacy advocate, was a long-time LVSC volunteer and Board member. When she relocated to Florida, she asked that I “strongly consider” volunteering my time to this wonderful organization in her honor. I became a Board member in 2015.
Inspiring LVSC Moment: Every event and meeting is inspiring for me. What I want to say is…the last board meeting Steve Koehler attended {before he passed away} and where hugged my dear friend for the last time, is a warm memory. Had I not volunteered I would never have met the likes of Martha Davis {board president 2008-2018} and Steve Koehler, two very inspiring people and true role models for community service.

Favorite Food: Hmmmm….nachos with Betsy Miller after a morning of skiing.

R&R Spot: Anywhere I can spend time with my family, as long as it is the beach or the ski slopes. LOL.
