Dana Ponciroli Appointed to the LVSC Board of Trustees

Spotlight on Dana

Dana is an accomplished corporate communications executive with experience living and studying abroad.


Dana Ponciroli manages business president communications for Syensqo, a global specialty chemicals and materials company based in Belgium. She is passionate about employee communications, and has experience with coaching, meeting facilitation, media and public relations, public speaking and crisis communications. Dana earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in French and Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and will forever be a banana slug at heart.

Dana recently completed BoardConnect, a program offered by NonProfit Connect which trains volunteers to serve on non-profit boards. She has experience living and studying abroad and understands well the challenges our students face when adapting to a new language and culture.

Dana and her husband, Greg, are parents to a 15-year-old daughter, two dogs and a horse.

The LVSC board and staff alike are grateful to Dana for sharing her time and talent with the LVSC community.

LVSC Journey: When I was in college, I helped adults learn how to read through a literacy volunteer program. The joy and satisfaction I saw when they were able to read something filled my heart and the experience stuck with me.

Day Job: I work for a Belgian company called Syensqo and am currently working with several of our business presidents advising them on their communications to employees.

Favorite Food: Peaches!

Passions & Pastimes: I love yoga, reading and walking with our dogs.

Favorite Book: I’m an avid reader and I can’t answer this question…I don’t have just one favorite, I love so many different books!

R&R Spot: Definitely a beach. I grew up in Southern California and am happiest when I’m with my family relaxing on the sand or in the water looking at the vastness of the ocean.
