For Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2019

Organizational Accomplishments:

  • 346 adults received weekly tutoring from 235 volunteer tutors
  • 154 new students assessed for services
  • 130+ students participated one of 14 Conversation Groups conducted
  • 3 tutor training sessions conducted
  • 78 new volunteer tutors trained
  • 40 students completed U.S. Citizenship Preparation Classes
  • 30 students attended a Beginner Class
  • Tutors provided more than 3,750 hours of free tutoring
  • Conversation Group leaders conducted 700+ hours of discussion
  • U.S. Citizenship Preparation teachers provided 60+ hours of classroom instruction
  • Volunteers provided more than 600 hours of assistance with office work, event planning, etc.

 Goals Met by Adult Students (of those reporting): 

  • 227 improved conversation skills
  • 122 met employment, employabiltiy, and work-based goals
  • 106 improved ability to read
  • 101 improved ability to write
  •  47 increased citizenship knowledge and skills
  •  44 attained wellness and healthy lifestyle goals
  •  34 attained consumer skills
  •  30 increased involvement in children's educational activities
  •  21 increased involvement in community activities
  •  14 entered other education and/or training
  •  14 obtained U.S. citizenship
  •   8 increased math skills
  •   4 obtained commercial or regular driver's license
  •   3 registered to vote or voted for the first time
  •   1 received GED or other secondary school diploma
