Student Spotlights

Journey: I was born in Ukraine. I came to the United States in August 2022.

Biggest surprise when arriving in the USA: I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that strangers smile at you and can say hello or ask how you are doing, even without knowing you.

Experience using skills learned at LVSC: I used my knowledge of English during a visit to an American doctor. I was prescribed medicine and I could easily read the prescription. We learned that in our conversation group.

Favorite food: My favorite food is Ukrainian soup – called borscht.

Hobbies:  First of all I love to travel, and second is my work. I love to draw and in my work I do this with pleasure.

Favorite movie: I like to watch American comedies and detectives.

R&R spot: I love to have a rest and relaxation in nature or by the ocean.
