Student Spotlights

Journey: I was born in Seoul, South Korea. I came to the US in June 2023.

Biggest surprise when arriving in the USA: I was surprised a lot of older people working in the mart, retail stores or everywhere. Because in my country not too much opportunity for older people to work. 

Experience using skills learned at LVSC: I'm gaining confidence in speaking English learned in our conversation group. Thank you for making good friends, sharing information, and helping me adapt to a new life.

Favorite food: I‘m good at eating everything without picky eating, but I especially like spicy food.

Goals: Fluently speaking English, working in US, trips in US.

Favorite movie: These days, it's a good time to put my daughter to sleep and watch Netflix series and about travel on YouTube. Before my daughter was born, I was a travel guide and I traveled a lot when I was young. When my daughter grows up, I want to travel to the places I used to travel to together.

R&R spot: The airport is a healing spot for me. The moment I enter the airport, I like the smell of the airport and the fact that I'm leaving somewhere.
