Q: What is the Bee?
A: The Community Spelling Bee is a new event designed to bring people together for a great cause – creating a more literate community!
Q: How Does it Work?
A: Teams of two, sponsored by local businesses, family and friends, come together to spell. We use Official Spelling Bee Words and Rules, but no teams are eliminated in the regular rounds; scores are kept. The teams with the highest scores go to the final round where there will be elimination until a single team is crowned the winner.
Q: Who Are the Spellers?
A: Spellers come from our community – any team of two can participate with a $300 team sponsorship.
Q: Who Are the Sponsors?
A: Local businesses, corporations, civic clubs, neighbors, family members, religious organizations! Sponsors can sponsor a team or sponsor a round. Team sponsors get coverage on the day of the event. Round sponsors will get day of the event coverage as well as website recognition. Both will get social media exposure.
